Zestfolio
Built on Amazon's WebStore technology, this fun store was built just for kids' books and is categorized by popular animals. Just click on "hippos" to
see great hippo books - great for kids in that quirky "animal phase" of development! With streaming video from YouTube, kids can tune in to have
stories read to them with subtitles. Oh, and don't miss Click the Piggy's weekly reading list - classics and new kids on the block.
Another store built on Amazon.com's WebStore technology, this is a site dedicated to comic book and graphic novel fans. The products the merchant sells are
intermixed with Amazon's products, providing an extensive resource for any comic fan.
This exercise clothing boutique store is built on Amazon.com's WebStore technology, this store runs entirely off of Amazon.com's web services platform and provides
safe and secure cehckout to the more than 55,000,000 active shoppers on Amazon.com. Integrating this merchant's products with Amazon's inventory means
more choice for shoppers and extra income for Flashy Fitness, which will earn a commission on every Amazon.com item sold through this storefront.
Another clothing boutique store built on Amazon.com's WebStore technology. Integrating this merchant's products with Amazon's inventory means
more choice for shoppers and extra income for OldShirt, who will earn a commission on every Amazon.com item sold through this storefront. It was easy to
use Amazon.com's Seller Central interface to manage the content on the site, such as the YouTube runway video on the home page.

CleverSet's dynamic behavioral models analyze past and current behaviors of each customer to predict
what customers want to buy on that site. Each customer is presented with Product Recommendations that are
tailored to their current shopping session.
I constructed and built from scratch the Smart Product Recommender front-end API in
JavaScript, integrated the API with 75+ client shopping sites in a variety of languages,
worked in technical sales role for high-end clients to help close deals,
built and coded affiliate program that opened platform to 70k new clients from eBay ProStores,
wrote and maintained the API documentation, created catalog format standards, presented training
sessions, specked new features and priority of API based on customer feedback, wrote and
produced integration documentation for affiliates and retailers,
managed integration of customer requirements, provided support on business needs,
and performed ongoing analysis of B2B marketplace services.
The client was a consulting firm composed of a team of current and former federal, state, and local law enforcement officers who provide invaluable expertise in technical advisory services to many areas of specialty, including the entertainment industry, news and media, manufacturers, non-profits and government contractors. They needed a smart, clean design that conveyed a professional image. The final design is dramatically different from their original website.
From Refin.com: "Redfin is the industry's first online real estate brokerage. Unlike any other real estate site, Redfin lets you buy and sell MLS-listed homes online. You can shop for homes and browse prices using our map-driven home-shopping site, tour the homes you like in person, then make an offer or list a property via Redfin Direct, Redfin's step-by-step guide to buying or selling your home."
As part of the original start-up team for Redfin, I worked as a front-end and middle-ware integration
engineer with a dedicated and talented group of backend developers to build the Redfin real estate platform,
the first Flash-based interactive MLS real estate system online. Integrating Java, Flash, XML and JSP, we
developed a robust and scalable software
platform and agent community. I helped develop and integrate customer-focused collaboration tools, agent profiling and search features,
automated appointment scheduling for buyers, SMS cell phone messaging and "click for immediate callback" functionality.
Developed, launched and maintained Amazon internal stores, including Music, DVD, Books, Kitchen, Tools, Wireless, Electronics, Videogames, Software and Apparel.
Developed, launched and maintained partner stores, including Target.com, Office Depot, CDNow.com, Borders.com, Toys 'R Us, Babies 'R Us, R Zone, Imaginarium and NBA.com.
Implemented significant software changes enabling overlapping product SKUs from third-party vendors; created the foundation of Amazon's 1000 Merchants initiative.
Launched innovative features, including Search Inside the Book, Quick Promotions, Rebates, Corporate Accounts, Segway, Wedding Registry, Buy X Get Y, and Contests.
Localized and implemented US code base for internationalized stores (FR, JP, DE, UK, CA, Target.com and NBA.com).
Created targeted promotional messaging software on product detail pages - a big win for third-party vendors who can now run their own item-based promotions and rebates
An amazing company that provides Northwest homes and offices with speedy, professional cleaning services from their team of experts. With an online quote system, PayPal invoicing integration, training on Craigslist and the ability to create promotions messaging for new and existing clients, G&G Cleaning Services does most of their client sourcing from their website. The next version of the site will have an automated quote system that provides real-time responses to pricing requests.

ShoeWar
Inspired by another website, KittenWars, where you upload a picture of your cute kitten and the picture is pitted against other pictures of cute(r) kittens, and people vote which is the cuter.
I wondered if that was translatable into ecommerce, so I bought the domain and went to work. There's still a lot to be done with it - integration of Scriptaculous and Prototype for managing interactive content display, plus account creation so you can save your favorite shoes and accessories to your WishList (from the Amazon web services) or purchase the shoes from Amazon using their integrated anonymous cart web service. My friend, Sarah, flipped when she saw it, so I know it's got a great future.

With a portfolio in the neighborhood of 300k domains, they hired me as a consultant to create a prototype platform on which I rapidly test new site designs, web service integration and SEO ranking.
Get your daily horoscopes and find out who you share a birthday with. Oh, and I also pimp Amazon books based on your sign. Originally I built this AI thing that you could ask questions to and it would answer you, much like Magic Eight Ball, and then I tied it into this really cool Flash-based AI interface that would talk to you, but it was so expensive that I had to drop it. I figure by the time I get bored with the other sites and come around to pizzazz this one up, there will be some new cool technology on the market that does what I want. I'm such a fricking Gemini. Sheesh.
So I’m at this party the other day at an Italian restaurant (no names - but it ends in “Garden” … don’ t hate me because I’m rich white trash!) and I’m telling this hilarious story about the Bush Twins - turns out they’re not really twins and that one of them was just slow (daddy’s mostest drunkest sperm got to the egg first?) and got held back two years but they didn’t want to hurt her feelings so they made up the twins thing. Two points for guessing which. Anyway, so the guy goes, “So you’re like the person at the party that people talk about from across the room … like … ‘Who invited him?’ … which I took a real compliment! So I called my PR assistant and got this site set up. I like it.
This event took place on Friday, July 21, 2006. Music, theater, performance, dance and visual art installations were sited throughout the Arboretum and at the Museum of History and Industry. Grass Routes focused attention on the cultural and environmental heritage that will be impacted by the 520 Bridge replacement. The client needed a quick turnaround and an integration into a content management system so that she could quickly and on her own update announcements, artist bios, and photos. I built the site around the WebPress framework, and it turned out quite nifty.
One of my hobbies (can't you tell - I have way too much spare time???) is collecting old diaries. I usually buy them off of eBay, and they don't have to be anything special. I have one from a 15 year old girl from 1917, another from a religious housewife in the 50's who liked to write poetry to God, and another from a remedial high school student in the 40's. I have some work to do on the transcription interface, but it's coming along very nicely. Day by day you'll be able to read online what they had to say about the things happening around them. And who knows? Maybe we'll learn a thing or two about who we are.
Cheryl dos Remedios does some of the most beautiful art that I've ever seen. Her work has made my house a home, my room a bedroom, my tv room a living room. There's not much more I can say about it. You just have to go check it out.
The official acting portfolio site. Yeah, I'm an actor. I's a Gemini thing. I've been acting for a few years and have done a few commercials, like US West Dex, US West, WA State Lotto, and most recently a bilingual parenting video fo Talaris, where I'm reading Curious George to my tv-daughter. That was one of the most fun times I've had filming. I also just wrapped up recording my voiceover demo and that's going to be online as well, along with the commercials. So, check it out.
